A whopping 3 cm displacement in Mw5.65 in Reykjanes peninsula!

Results from the real-time GPS analysis from station SENG, 12 km SW of the epicenter of the Mw5.65 earthquake this morning at 10:05 local time shows a 3 cm southward motion.
At mid day today, a total of 11 earthquakes of M4.0 or larger have occurred, with the M5.65 currently being the strongest one. The seismic swarm in Reykjanes peninsula is a fierce reminder that the volcano-tectonic episode is still ongoing.
